Everyone talks about how great Facebook is but its really impersonal. I used to think it was better than Myspace and Myspace was a total waste of times. In some ways it is. In other ways its not. Facebook offers tons more spam than myspace. Everything from users emailing you to join groups for causes you don't have any remote interest in to X User ALSO COMMENTED ON HIS STATUS! If you click on the "like" button to "like" something. It is ridculously stupid.

Twitter also is pretty much the same thing. half middle of the road, stream of consciousness conversations that don't mean anything remotely coherent. How can anyone learn anything much less attribute this to meaningful social human interaction? It is worse than Facebook, but at least there is no contests/spam/Java applications to installl. But that is it. Its too easy to write something off the top of you're head and have no context or meaning to the thought.
