Great post!

You mentioned LibX for FireFox service and i wanted to point that there are better services where you can add RSS, Podcasts and other components to your Internet Explorer and Firefox broswer for free using Conduit community toolbars.

http://librarytoolbar.blogspot.com/ shows tons of great examples of library toolbars created for free in www.conduit.com.

Hi guys thanks for dropping by, thanks for your nice words Judy.

Hi Sue,

I think your statement is the same as mine, only you are saying more with less words.

Cheers

Isn't it great the way social networking operates like a loop - to make and tidy up our connections with each other!! I enjoyed reading this post, because I also enjoyed Kathryn's presentation a lot! She's inspired me to use LibX (if I can) when I move to my new library. I was also interested in your comments in how your blog content and reflections have changed. I have found the same thing for myself - and in a way, I guess what we find is that it takes a while to find our own 'voice' in response to the gyrations of social networking in the 2.0 environment.

Thanks for the post, and the mention! Cheers!

"And I totally identify with the librarians perpetual nature of finding things for people, almost like everyone’s personal information agent…I know being a librarian didn’t shape me this way, I’ve always been of character to be excited about the latest and share it with everyone."

I always thought it was they other way around. No- being a librarian didn't shape us that way- we become librarians because we are shaped that way. I think thats also why I like twitter and facebook- just more ways to share things I find.
