Roundup : socializr, digalist, Yackpack update, meebo rooms, orgoo
socializr - I’ve never used an events social network, but if I did I’d use socializr, check out this example event. The invite has video, slideshows, guest list, comments…and you can IM the event to somone or blog it, update it on Twitter, add to Ms Outlook calendar, etc…
digalist - another social list
Yackpack update - Michael Pick has the update, this group chat service now includes:
group voice chat (click on a person or people and record a msg or live chat…I guess this goes the same with text based IM), easily change channels to other packs, record sessions, embed a widget YackCast (a topic) into your blog (either a a recording of the session or still live session, where your blog visitors can take part), Walkie-Talkie widget for your blog visitors to initiate a conversation with you…see Michael’s post for the details.
meebo rooms - first it was consolidating all your IM clients in one web version (even as a widget), then it was “meebome” allowing blog visitors to chat to you from a widget and you chat back with your IM client, and now it’s plain and simple multi-media chat rooms (widget-enabled of course). See Creamaid and Geesee for cross blog chat rooms.
Other chat services are IMVU, Tworl and buddystumbler, Lingr and Pibb…see others chat related stuff. [via M]
orgoo - new web email service with multi IM client access, other web email services are Zenbe, Zimbra, and jubii. [via TC]
