Roundup : OtherEgo, The Coop, TwitterAtlas, Kaywa QR Code, qode, Semapedia

OtherEgo - Yet another meta-identity service, how many of these can there be, the last one was Zoolit, link from there for the others. [via mashable]

The Coop - browser based social network, not sure how different it is to share2me and bzzster, but I think it is more about just dragging links into the avatars of your social network, now that’s easy sharing…I like dragging stuff into a box and the jobs done, like what tubes does for p2p file sharing. I guess the benefit is that your social network will be a browser click away, being a part of the browser is like it is always active, instead of visiting a webpage, it’s within your browser. TwitterAtlas - a more sophisticated Twitter map mashup than TwitterVision. [via DM]

Kaywa QR Code, qode, Semapedia - generate a barcode for others to scan with their camera phone, in turn they are sent information that was coded in the barcode, it could be your business profile, product info, event info, etc…for more see, decode an others.

Semapedia is bringing access to wikipedia information to the physical world, firstly enter a wikipedia URL, and it will generate a barcode.
Stick that barcode anywhere in the offline or online world and then people can take a picture of the barcode with their camera phone. The installed phone barcode reader eg. Kaywa will scan the barcode and display the the wikipedia URL, you then click this URL on your mobile web phone to read the entry.
I’d like to see an SMS or MMS version instead of having to surf the mobile web…I really think barcode scanning will take off when phone providers have the software pre-installed, learn more.
