Roundup : StreetAdvisor, BlogRovr, Serph, BubbleGuru, Open Floodgate, Leaptag
BlogRovr - a type of related posts browser plugin, subscribe to a bunch of feeds in BlogRovr, then when you are on a blog post click BlogRovr to display related content from your BlogRover sphere…a kind of on demand memetracker. [via RRW]
StreetAdvisor - social network type of map look up…add reviews and ratings about street and neighbourhoods. [TC]
Serph - meta-buzz search engine…enter a search and find the live buzz, a but like Technorati or memetrackers (only with search).
BubbleGuru - pop-up video for your blog visitors, also send video’s in an email, added to my blog visitor post…also see more video email. [via WW]
OpenFloodgate - similar to Scribd, a social bookmarks for documents, it has a user space and also group collections, I see it as a type of social list. [via TC]
Leaptag - a type of personalisation engine where you define some tags, just like MyFeedz, but unlike MyFeedz you don’t have the choice to import your OPML. Leaptag will dish out results from various search engines based on your tags, just like MyFeedz you can rate results in order to tune the engine.
Actually it seems you don’t just define a set of tags (like StumbleUpon), but rather use the browser to tag websites, this way Leaptag not only knows the tags you are interested in, but also the context, or an example of something that would be tagged with that tag.
The delivery kind of works like an RSS Reader, and you can share your tags with friends, so it has social recommendation, not sure if it collecting these websites you tag or if you can bookmark websites it delivers you. [via SS]
