megite : Memetracker for a single blog

First megite was a memetracker for a selection of the blogosphere, then you could limit this to your blogosphere (your OPML feed set), now you can see the conversations around one blog, that’s right a memetracker for the latest 48 hours for a single source.

Now you can see the popular ordered posts from a single blog and view the discussion in a much easier way than a stream of comments, trackbacks, and inlinks, plus the bonus of related posts that aren’t explicit inlinks…see more from mashable.

Introducing the Mashtracker, the first single source focused memetracker.

NOTE: the posts are in ranked in order of popularity over the last 48 hours, not sure if this means it won’t list less popular posts…I wonder if you get to see all posts but just ranked differently. When it’s based over a feed set you only see the popular posts and it ditches the rest, but from just one feed, you could probably get away showing all the posts, just not in date order.

So what would you now visit the mashable website or the mashtracker website?

There is also a mashtracker feed, pity you don’t get clustering or full-text in the feed.

Coming soon, the latest buzz on a topic or keyword.

Think MyFeedz but enhanced with megite style…or Google Blog Search, but instead of a list of results have them pimped up memetracker style.

I’m sure they’ll be showcasing some buzz meme keywords…can’t wait to search meme’s.

MyFeedz Flex book : read feeds like a book

MyFeedz Flex book is an alternative to using the MyFeedz interface…read content by leafing through pages.

Just enter a search term and when it has found results, click on the pages and give a quick short drag to the left.

I love this experience, pity you don’t get full-text content.

I’ve raved about this sort of thing for a while, and this tool is just a feature of my vision, my ideal tool was more about a print version, basically an automated newspaper (including different sections, ads, weather, different size articles, comments (letters to the editor) about previous issues, etc…)

Twitter : what about following keywords

Twitterholic is the Twitter Top 100…sort by Followers, Friends, Updates, Favourites.

This is the latest in mashups, also see TwitterMaps, TwitterSearch and TwitterVision.
One question of mine, is that since people can’t tag posts, TwitterSearch is a great idea to see what people are saying about keywords, eg.skype.

Only if we could get an RSS feed for these search results…or perhaps an inbuilt search feature in Twitter where you can follow “keywords” instead of people.

What about keywords for TwitterVision, I’d like to watch when a particular keyword pop’s up on the live map. This would be handy with current issues, like the term “bomb” eg. in the time of the London bombings.

Data Mining has done some anaylsis on some Twitter word bursts.

BTW, here’s another TwitterVision called Twitterami.
