Njuice : personal news network
Njuice kind of reminds me of Spotback, but without the recommendation, I suppose it also reminds me of customising your own Google News.
Basically you can search for sources in their extensive database and add them to your personal news page, you can even organise your sources into tabs (each has a feed).
When you add a source to your personal page you tag it as well, this is for the benefit of others to find this source by tag…I think there needs to be a personal pay off for this where you can also read your news by tag, rather than just by tab.
What about adding your own sources?
This is quite similar to widget based newsmastering services such as FeedRaider, and Speedyfeed…even 24eyes.
Njuice is also a Public RSS Reader gallery, as you can view other people’s personal pages, a bit like Blogdigger Groups, kinja, Feed Collectors, etc…Njuice is a bit different as you can add friends, and copy a tab.
Another thing is it is not just about reading (note: unlike a personal RSS Reader you cannot mark/unmark read), as you can bookmark and tag items. Only thing is that the tag pages are not limited to a user, so you are bookmarking for the general community…where’s the personal incentive.
