Yeah, i'd like to be able to submit via email too... I'm in the uk and so sms to twitter will cost me but i can send an sms to email as part of my tariff. I take it, currently, there's no way to do that?

Twitter Submitter W32 1.4 now available. Tested under Win95, Win98, Win2k, WinXP (have a lot of computers @ the house), you can submit your Twitter musings to your Twitter without needing a browser! It's very "old school" but it works quite well.

You can find it at: http://kudut.freeshell.org/TWTSUB14.zip

If you have any questions about it, lemme know. Library Clips, I hope this helps you out.

Matt,

The bit about IM in my post sounded a bit vague, Twitter does have IM posting and receiving, that's how I am using it at the moment, it's great.

Even better would be a dedicated service in my systems tray like the many available on the mac, such as Twitterific.

Anyway, when I'm on the go, I want to be able to email a post to Twitter rather than SMS, as it is cheaper for me to email (plus I would have to check with the Twitter staff if Australia can be included in the SMSability).

Kenneth,

I look out for your tinkerings, leave a comment here if you remember.

Hi LibraryClips!

Thank you for the inclusion on your blog. [I'm the Twitter Submitter guy]

I'm hoping that somebody takes the Twitter Submitter and writes an easy, simple Widget for Win32 - to do something like what you're looking for -- for that's what I want as well!!

Maybe I can brush up on some Visual Basic again and throw something together -- watch this space :)

Nevermind. Just saw your previous post. Man. If they can make a business out of this, I'll kick myself for not doing it.

John,

What are you looking for?

IM to twitter? I think I could whip that up for you. I'm surprised it's not out there.
