Fwicki : Public spliced feed stream

Fwiki seems to be an RSS Reader that you can make private or public, not only that you can tailor its look and even blend it into your blog.
The main premise is that it is not only an RSS Reader, you can further create spliced feeds, each called a master feed, basically a river of news…see more.

Add feeds (and tag them) or view a list of tagged feeds to choose from and add, you can view these in the Feed Reader, from these feeds you can create a Fwicki ie. a spliced feed with a page to view it (kind of like a folder river of news), make as many as you like (you can even tag your Fwicki’s).

  2. People like melinda_8 are idiots! Not only does she demonstrate a very limited vocabulary (low IQ maybe?), she doesn’t get Fwicki at all. (Why are we not surprised?)
Fwicki is much more than just an online RSS reader as you can read Here, Here, and Here.
Fwicki is not about design (how shallow). However, I dare say melinda_8 has a better looking site than this custom Fwicki:

    Deep Space Fwicki

Fwicki is about giving savvy developers tools for leveraging RSS and increasing traffic / revenue. I dare say melinda_8 has anything in the SERP’s that place as high (especially in Google) as Fwickis do.

Fwicki is not for novice web developer “wannabees”. Fwicki is for intelligent, RSS savvy gurus who understand the potential of the toolset.

People like melinda_8 will never get Fwicki. That is actually very good… great in fact! That means that people like me who earn substantial revenue on the web can maintain our edge.

I recommend Fwicki to all RSS savvy developers and bloggers. Get traffic & earn more revenue in a very “standards compliant” way… thats what Fwicki is all about.

All that can be said to melinda_8 is: DUH!

  3. No matter what you say Fwicki still sucks. I understand the technology (it would help if it worked) as well as the idea. My main complaint regarding usability comes from that fact that there are these disclaimers on the login page about how Fwicki works with IE6 and IE7 but they recommend that I use firefox. Yeah that’s because it only works in Firefox. Yet when you try to use fwicki with IE7 it’s unusable and actually hurts my eyes. I can see that you are one of those old school guys who just doesn’t get it on the web. If the internet was only text based like it was back in the early 90’s you would be in heaven. You have no style, I can tell. A perfect example is your link to the “Deep Space Fwicki”. I love how you dare say that I dont have a better looking site than that. First of all you have not seen my work. That “Deep Space Fwicki” looks as if someone from 1996 designed it. Showing how much you love this fwicki website tells me that either you are the creator or a friend of the creator.

You say that you are someone who makes substantial money on the web, I’m sure it’s from those highly respected SEO nonsense / keyword injected targeted bullshit sites. You know. That SPAM crap that is ruining the web so fuckers like you can make money from google ads.

So next time you descide to stick up for something. Maybe you should stick up for something that is worth a shit. And by the way I have worked on many different designs and know a bit about art considering I majored in graphic arts in school. I realize unlike your friends at fwicki, that design and graphics on the web are constantly evolving therefore you design needs to constantly be evolving. Maybe the gene pool is a bit shallow on your end but, hey, we are all dealt the hand that we were givin. I feel sorry for you.

    Your friend. melinda_8

    FLAME ON!

  4. melinda_8,

So much hostility, & anger for one person…
First, I have no friends at Fwicki… I wish I did!
It is clear to see you really are ignorant. I can use Fwicki in IE7 just fine. Also, I did not see anything on the Fwicki front page about a “disclaimer”… just a mention that the application works BETTER in Firefox. (and in case you didn’t read closely, an explanation why).

Let me give an example of your scope of understanding… you rant about old school and text-based design … the AJAX based application at Fwicki is hardly old school. It is obvious that you wouldn’t know the difference.

I love the Fwicki application because of the results I get from using the app. No more, no less. There are many other applications out there I use and love as well, but I will not list them here. Seems like you know quite a bit about SPAM sites… that speaks for itself.

I think your frustration comes from the fact that you don’t understand how or why to use the Fwicki application. It’s OK, don’t let it frustrate you so… I think you should be more concerned about your limited vocabulary and your lack of ability to spell.

    It’s not “givin” … it’s given.

Don’t feel sorry for me… Perhaps you should find someone who can help you install the Firefox browser… nevermind… that still wouldn’t help.

I am sure there are many applications on the web that you do not understand.. don’t let it frustrate you so. Concentrate on the basics. It will take you farther in life.

    Your friend… George.
