Boxxet : communal topic pages
It seems we can’t get enough of topic pages, Boxxet is the latest, what makes it different is that a topic can belong to a group for creation/editing, kind of like a closed wiki. Not sure how this makes it different to Wetpaint, I know Zimbio also has group features…others are Squidoo, Hubpages, Fanpop, and Webjam.
[ADDED 18/01/07: Actually these are automated topic pages, just like automated news radars.]

Hello:
Glad you found Boxxet. You ask how Boxxet is different from the other “topic pages” that are out there.
I believe the main difference is that Boxxet is “community and machine-driven,” while the others you mentioned are created and maintained by an individual or community. In other words, most topic pages *require* people to add content, rate content and maintain the pages.
Boxxet is what I (and Tim O’Reilly) call a bionic system (http://radar.oreilly.com/archives/2006/03/bionic_software_1.html) , which combines the automation of the machine with the passion of the people. So in Boxxet, the topics (sports team, TV show, celebrity, etc) are always being updated by the machine. And, from people’s input and participation, the Boxxet machine learns the desires of the participants so it can better source and highlight great content.
Hope this helps.
Best,
You Mon
