Changes for me
A lot has happened in a month; firstly the break from the blogging bubble was great, it made me wonder if I would keep blogging, but when I got home I was right into my web 2.0 life.
I had a fabulous one month holiday in Fiji, a week on the mainland, and the rest on 3 fabulous islands (Malolo lailai Is, Waya Is, Matamanoa Is).
The best part about it is that I got married to the beautiful Abby.
Another thing that has happened is I’m no longer a working librarian, I now work as functional support for our Document Management System, we use LiveLink from OpenText…the CoP (Community of Practice) module looks exciting (blogs, forums, Q&A, etc.) all presented in a webpage, beats the electronic filing cabinet look. OpenText are also trialing wiki’s, social bookmarks, and they have “skills management” a type of expert locator.
So am I going to change the name of my blog, no way, but it does need a revamp, at the moment my blog won’t load, sorry about that, I think the sidebar badges are weighing it down.
And it still looks bad in Firefox, I think I need to rent a coder, I haven’t got time even if I knew what I was doing.
So much to catch up on and post!!!!

Congrats! I’m interested in your experiences with LiveLink. We have that, too, but we’re still in the implementation phase. I’m not sure what all “modules” we have. I’m looking forward to reading about how it goes for you.

John,
Congrats on the wedding, & a month in Fiji sounds like a great way to tie the knot! Best wishes to you both. Glad to see you back from your break too… I’m still taking mine…
