Soapbox now re-syndicates reviews from your blog
Soapbox is a site for reviews, you join up and start your own space for reviews, each review has a permalink. Each user has a blog like space (with a feed), you can browse users or see the recent reviews from all users, also via a feed.
When writing a review, you can rate it thumbs up or down…it still lacks tags, I’d like to tag my reviews.
In this way, each user can have a tag cloud, and there can also be an overall tag cloud.
I’d also like to see visitors add comments to reviews…
Since my last post on Soapbox, there has been an additional feature…the ability to re-syndicate posts into Soapbox from your own blog. This is essential, some people already write review type posts in their own blog, these posts can now be re-published into Soapbox…each review will point to your original blog post.
Here’s how you do it, just register your blog…if you are posting a review let Soapbox know by entering a tag into your post:
<soapbox_thumbs_up/> or <soapbox_thumbs_down/>

Hi,
Since I released this feature on Soapbox yesterday, I received some very good feedback. One thing that was said was that the tags that I chose to mark a blog post as a review were not well chosen because they’re not valid html tags. I agree. I chose poorly.
Therefore, I’ve changed the tags to be valid html:

I’m sorry if this has caused confusion.

Thank you so much for the feedback on Soapbox. ‘Tag support’ and ‘user comments on reviews’ are two features I’m considering adding.
