Others online is a social search tool, but the social aspect kicks in as you search the web. That is, you don’t have to goto the Others online website to be social, instead (via a toolbar) all the social aspects come to you as you do your every day surfing.

To see other social services that share topic guides or lists or topic search results see my post, OPML Lists : topic search engine…the prominent service that shares topic search results is Zingboxx.

Others online is different to Zingboxx as it is more based on user interests…as you search the web the Others online toolbar can be used to see who is interested in that website. If you find someone of interest you can go to their profile and read more about them, add them to your favourites list, you can even IM them.
So this is more about connecting people based on interests via your searching terms and websites you visit, rather than sharing search results organised by topics/tags.
