Many of the features you asked for are there now. The Related Posts now include both threading (linking to the same post) and similar contents. So it is very much a personal memetracker now. Clicking a "machine tag" after a post gives you the posts that cover the same topic. The Recommendations feature automatically retrieves the posts that are related to all the posts you read in a session, which may include multiple topics.
