RSS rip offs
[UPDATE: this has been rectified, see comments]
Yet again someone is blatantly ripping off my post, there is no pointing back to my post whatsoever.
The only way I found out is that I have a few links in the body of the post that point to some of my past posts…so when I tracked my ego feeds I came across it.
NOTE: Maybe this is a good idea, at the end of every post I could include a link to my blog homepage, this way I’ll keep track (via ego feeds) of who is ripping me off.
They are breaching my CC license, but what is a blogger to do about it…
Not only is it wrong, but they may also make money off my content from the ads on their site…I guess this would only be a concern if it was a well known highly trafficked blog, in this case action would be taken (even if they did link back to my post…well I’d have to change my license conditions).
Oops, I just took a look at my license and I’m allowing people to re-mix and make commercial use of my work…but they don’t seem to be following the “Attribution”…I’d like a simple link back as an attribution.
NOTE: I might make my license a bit more strict…not that the offenders would have checked my license first I bet.
