Although registration is necessary if someone desires to create a personalized space (of their own) to view your feed - registration is not required for those who simply want to bookmark and read your blog. Simply create a WINKsite with your feed as it's content and promote it's open URL.

..an added benefit is that your content will be available on any mobile device not just the XHTML-capable devices that http://xfruits.com/johnt/?id=741 will work on. Why deny about a half billion other devices (people) from potentially accessing your content? :)
