<description>Hi, I just want to say that NEWSPAGE is no more. It was to demanding on my little server and there are many other web services online that do almost the same, so I decided to close it down, but what I really want to say is that NEWSPAGE never showed ads on pages where there was content from others. It only showed ads where it was content from me only. For example on the Frontpage and my blog posts on NEWSPAGE. I think you should never have ads on pages where you have full content aggregated from other people (unless they agree).
My other site informatory - aggregates &quot;snippets&quot; of posts from different sources (just like google or any other search engine), but never more than 300 characters and ALWAYS give full credit - both to the articles URL and to the homepage, No NoFollow links so all the sources get some PageRank boost too.

I think that is an Ok way to aggregate posts and also have ads. If it's not Ok - All search engines and many other sites like Findory, Technorati etc will have serious problems.

If I could have ads on NEWSPAGE and got some money in, I could have bought some new hardware to get the server running, so everyone that used the service to create their own aggregated News Pages could be happy, but I decided that it would be wrong to do, because it was full content that been aggregated (Keyword based filtering doesn't work good with excerpted posts).
