SlashLinks: del.icio.us without the folksonomy
SlashLinks allows you to mirror del.icio.us on your own site.
OK, we know you can re-syndicate the content in to your blog sidebar, and even have a tagloud on your blog sidebar…you could even re-syndicate the content into a whole blog (RSS-to-HTML).
But what this does, is it take a mirror of your del.icio.us account so you can browse it out of the folksonomy.
Check out this example….click on a tag on one of the bookmarks…click on the date from one of the bookmarks.
RSS feeds are coming soon…I guess it will just use your del.icio.us RSS feeds,
What ever you do at your del.icio.us account, it will be reflected here…so you just carry on as usual.
Now that you can take your account out of the folksonomy it really feels like a link blog…well, a blog with posts but without permalinks
…but you can browse by date or tags (categories).
Hmmm…maybe when you add a bookmark with the bookmarklet, you could have a field for trackbacks, and maybe people could leave comments…but this would require permalinks.
Or would it, to trackback is to just ping someone, and you could leave a comment on a del.icio.us URL…that is, aggregated comments to the URL. You would not be leaving a comment to the person who bookmarked that URL (as there are no permalinks), you would be leaving comments to everyone in general who bookmarked that URL.
