Megite: personal OPML meme tracker

Filed under: rss, readers, opml, attention

Megite is similar to Memeorandum, the difference is that you can make a personal megite via your OPML, here’s my Megite.

Now I’m not really sure what this is doing:

Does it contain all the posts from my OPML, ranked by popularity relevance?

Or does it just contain the popular posts?

I also noticed there are some posts from feeds not within my OPML, why are these here?
Is it because posts from within my OPML are linking to it a lot, a la Chuquet.

So maybe megite is similar to OPML Sampler…difference being is that it also clusters similar items, and also shows a list of the incoming links.

What are these similar items based on (called Related Items)?…text anaylsis maybe?

Is it similar to Waypath Related?

Other, similar services are Findory Favourites (this is based on reading behaviour), and Tail Rank (based on link anaylsis and lots of other things, still not totally clear on what it does).

Rojo also has a relevance view.
