Back up blog via OPML

Check out this blog, it not only has a feed, but also an OPML.

If you put it in an OPML Browser, also here, you can see all posts by category…this is viewing a title index of your blog by category from elsewhere

…OPML is so portable.

A step further is to browse this in the sidebar of your blog, ie. make a title index by category for your own blog.

Whack the OPML in OPod and put that in your sidebar…now you will have an organised title index for your blog

…an old favourite tool is being revamped as we speak to also enable this functionality, they will also host it (no plug-ins, yeah).

So how do I enable my blog with an OPML?

…anyone

Related to this is publishing a blog via an OPML outliner, if you do this then you could easily use the OPML from your outliner as the OPML for your blog.

The link immediately above contains links showing this OPML is not only a title index for your blog, but also shows the contents…so it is your blog in the raw…great idea for a back up.

continue.
