Technorati: where’s searching in tags?
To search for a tag in Technorati just use the tag cloud or the search box and hopefully that tag exists, if it doesn’t it will say “no posts exist with that tag”.
What I’d like it to do is display the results alphabetically, and say “this result would live here if it did exist”, this quote would be nested between the alphabetical order
…this would also mean you could browse tag alphabetically (at the moment this only exists for the top 100 tags).
Another thing, once you do have a results page I wish you could then search the full-text within these results
…what I’m saying is being able to search for a tag, but then to search within this tag.
The tag homepage also has hot tags, great to see which topics are the hottest in the blogosphere, the search page also has the hottest searches…it would be good to see this not only by the last hour, but also 24 hours, 7days, etc…
What about the hottest tags of the hour for a Blog Finder group (blogs about…), no doubt if the blogs are about “OPML” the hottest tag will probably be OPML, but these blogs also blog about other stuff, as they probably belong to many Blog Finder groups
…I’d also like to know the most used terms of the hour…kind of like machine keywords, similar to TagCloud.
I could enter each blog in the Blog Finder group (blogs about: “folksonomy”) at TagCloud, or even import the OPML (pity each Blog Finder group doesn’t have an OPML), in order to generate my own hot keyword TagCloud, but it would be good if Technorati did it for us.
I don’t know how to get the hottest tags for a bunch of blogs, not sure hot to do this, SuprGlu can create a tag cloud from multiple blogs, but it doesn’t sort by hottest or popular tags
…check out Corante Web Hub for an awesome tag cloud aggregated from multiple blogs, you can sort by frequency.
