Folksonomy: bookmark just RSS feeds
Basically Rojo (see here) seems to be an RSS Reader and a Social bookmark manager (folksonomy community)…it could also make a folksonomy out of the tags that hold RSS feeds. Instead the RSS feeds are in a directory provided by Rojo, since everyone tags their RSS feeds, couldn’t these tags be utilised as the headings in the directory or tag cloud…this way you can have 2 ways to discover feeds, via a taxonomy or via a folksonomy.
That is, 2 folksonomies, one for items (webpages – blog posts, news articles, etc..) and one for RSS feeds…it would be great to share and discover RSS feeds via a folksonomy.
I’m sure there is a folder/tag in del.icio.us to share RSS feeds, but what about a whole folksonomy system just to bookmark RSS feeds.
To top it off, both these folksonomies could have an RSS feed for every tag…this could also be at the private level (only showing your contribution to either of the folksonomies).
So Rojo is a great RSS reader and Social bookmarks manager, but I already use Bloglines and del.icio.us, and both these tools already have a great community of knowledge, so for this fact I wouldn’t change even though I like the idea of 2 tools in one…
…so why don’t Bloglines and del.icio.us merge, it would make me happy…hehe!
